What the honesty marks mean
A document marks the parts it had to work out rather than take from you, so you know what to check before you send it.
Grounded. Built from something you said, something in your profile, or a source it checked and listed at the bottom. Safe to send as it stands.
Assumption. A reasonable filling-in of a gap you did not cover. Usually right, always worth a glance.
Risk. Something that could go wrong, or a number that moves. Read this one properly.
Unverified source. A study, regulator, standard or link it could not trace back to a file you attached or a page it opened. Naming one in your brief is not the same as checking it. Check it before you repeat it.
These four are the only marks it uses. The marks show what it caught, not everything there is to catch: an unmarked line has not been cleared, only left unflagged. Read the document before you send it.
Terms, privacy and contact
Terms of use
Who you are dealing with. VNTA is made by Ground Signal Analytics. These terms cover your use of it, and using VNTA means you accept them.
What VNTA does. You record a voice note. VNTA turns it into a finished, styled document. That is the whole product. It does not send anything on your behalf and it does not act on your document for you.
Your work stays yours. You own what you put in and what comes out: the voice notes, the documents, the profile you write. We do not claim ownership of any of it and we do not sell it. We store your documents so you can reopen them, and we use your own notes to make your next document fit you better.
Read it before you send it. A VNTA document is a strong draft, not a checked fact. Anything the model worked out rather than read from your words is marked in the document as an Assumption or a Risk. Those marks are there to be used. Check every figure, date, price and name before the document leaves your hands. When you send it to a client or anyone else, you are the one standing behind it.
Fair use. Do not use VNTA to break the law, to harass anyone, to impersonate a person or a business, or to present a document as professionally reviewed when it was not. Do not try to overload the service, get around the Free plan's limit, or resell access to it. An account doing these things can be closed.
Plans and what the numbers mean. Free gives you 5 documents a month, forever, and 5 is a ceiling: at five, building NEW documents pauses until the first of the next month. Solo is $15 a month or $149 a year and includes 50 a month. Business is $39 a month or $390 a year and includes 200. On the paid plans those numbers are not ceilings and nothing stops: past the included number you carry on building and the extra documents are billed at 30c each on Solo and 25c each on Business. Changing a document you already have is always free on every plan, however many times you do it, and it never counts against the number. Nothing you have already made is ever locked away: you can open it, export it and share it whatever your plan says.
Responses on a shared page are not signatures. A shared page can carry a control where a viewer types their name to acknowledge the document. That creates an acknowledgment record and nothing more. It is not an electronic signature, it does not form a contract, and it does not prove who typed the name. If you need a signature, use a service built for that.
Provided as it stands. VNTA is offered as it is today. We work to keep it running and to keep the output honest, but we do not promise constant availability or error-free documents. As far as the law allows, Ground Signal Analytics is not responsible for losses that come from how you use a document VNTA produced.
Paying, changing and cancelling. Paid plans are bought on the web at vnta.app and handled by Stripe. VNTA never sees or stores your card details. You can change your plan or cancel it yourself at any time from Your plan, which opens Stripe's own billing page; there is no email to send and nobody to ask. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a payment fails, we take nothing away: you keep your plan, and the app tells you so you can update the card. When and how a failed payment is retried is Stripe's process, not ours.
Changes to these terms. If something here changes in a way that affects you, you will see a plain notice in the app before you carry on using it.

Privacy
The short version. VNTA holds your documents and a little context about you so it can write better ones. It does not track you, does not advertise to you, and does not sell anything about you. Everything below is what actually happens, not what we hope to do later.
What is stored. Your documents with their titles and types, the profile you write if you choose to write one, a learned profile built from your own notes, your logo if you upload one, which boxes you have ticked on a checklist, how many documents you have built this month and which plan you are on, and, if you subscribe, the customer reference Stripe gives us. Publishing a document also stores the published copy and a record of which account owns it. All of it lives in one database keyed to your account, and all of it goes when you delete your account.
Who processes your words. Two companies do the heavy work. Deepgram turns your audio into text. Anthropic writes the document from that text. What each of them does with what it receives is their own policy, not ours, and both are linked here so you can read them rather than take our word for it: Deepgram's privacy policy and Anthropic's privacy policy. On our side, no setting that would hand your content over for training has been switched on. What each provider then does with what it receives is governed by its own policy, linked above, and not by anything we can promise for them.
VNTA does not store your recording. It is sent to Deepgram, turned into text, and the audio is discarded on our side. What Deepgram does with what it receives is covered by Deepgram's privacy policy, linked above.
How you are identified. Either by an anonymous key held in your browser, which ties documents to that device and nothing else, or by an account you create with an emailed link or code. There are no passwords, so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal.
How long things are kept. Until you remove them. There is no automatic expiry. A document you made a year ago is still there unless you delete it or delete your account.
Deleting a document. Deleting removes the document and the shared copy with it, and both are checked afterwards: if either one does not go, you are told so rather than told it worked. The record of who opened that page, and of anyone who acknowledged it, is deleted at the same time but is not checked in the same way, because the page itself is the only part a stranger can reach. If one of those records does not clear it stays in our database, readable by nobody but you, and deleting your account removes it. The link stops working immediately at our end. Because shared pages are cached by the network for a minute, someone who loads the link within that minute can still see a copy; after that it is gone for everyone. A page already open in somebody's browser stays on their screen until they close it, as any web page does.
The learned profile. VNTA builds a short summary of you from your own notes, so it stops asking you the same things. It is built from nothing but your own words. The button marked Forget what you have learned clears it, and your documents stay exactly as they are.
Sharing is something you choose. A document is private until you press Get a shareable link. That publishes a copy at an address like /a/abc12345, and anyone holding that link can open it without an account. Treat the link as the key. Stop sharing takes the copy down.
What a shared page records. That it was opened, and when. That is the whole list. No cookies are set on the viewer, nothing identifies who they are, and no location is recorded. You learn that your document was read, not who read it. If you switch responses on, you also see the name a person typed and the time they typed it.
Signing out is not deleting. Signing out leaves everything sitting in your account. Sign back in and it is all there.
Deleting your account. There is a button for it. Open the menu, then your account, then Delete my account and everything in it. It asks once more, then it removes your documents, your profile, what VNTA has learned, your usage record and every page you have shared, and it signs this device out and clears what was held on it. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first.
Cookies. VNTA sets no cookies at all, of any kind. Not for tracking, not for advertising, not for signing you in. It keeps a little data in your browser's own storage so the app knows which device it is on and can pick up a build that was interrupted, and that never leaves your device except as the account key already described.
Children. VNTA is not intended for anyone under 13.

Who makes VNTA. VNTA is built and run by Ground Signal Analytics. It is a small operation, which is why the writing here sounds like a person rather than a legal department.
How to reach us. Email hello@vnta.app. That address is the way in for everything below, and there is no separate phone line to hunt for.
Delete my account. You do not need us for this. Open the menu, then your account, then Delete my account and everything in it. It removes everything stored under the account straight away, so export anything you want to keep first. Email us only if it fails and tells you so.
Something is wrong with a document. If one came out inaccurate, badly formatted, or clearly misread what you said, send it over. This is the most useful mail we get. Quote the part that went wrong and, if you can, what you actually said.
Billing and plans. Changing your plan and cancelling are both self-service, in Your plan. Write to us for a refund, a charge you do not recognise, or a number that looks wrong. Include the email on the account.
Privacy questions. If you want to know what is held about you, or want it corrected or removed, ask. You do not need to give a reason or use any particular wording.
A shared link you want taken down. If you made it, Stop sharing removes it yourself and takes effect immediately at our end. Shared pages are cached by the network for a minute, so a copy can still answer for up to that long, and a page already open on somebody's screen stays there until they close it.
Security. If you find a way to see data that is not yours, please tell us before telling anyone else, with enough detail to reproduce it. Those get answered first.
How it works
Talk, however messy. Ramble. Correct yourself. Trail off. It is built for real speech, not a tidy request. Up to 30 minutes in one go.
It works out what you need. You never pick a format. It decides whether your words want to be an invoice, a plan, a brief, a comparison, and writes that.
Change it by talking, as often as you like. Tap Change it and say what to fix. Or turn it into a different kind of document without recording again. Changes never count against your monthly documents: only a new document does.
Three things worth knowing. It marks which claims are solid and which are its best guess, on the line where they sit, so you know what to check. It traces every source: a study, statistic, regulator, standard or link has to come from a file you attached or from a page it actually opened, and anything it cannot trace is marked unverified on the line where it sits and named again beside the document. Naming a source in your brief tells it what to write, not what is true, so that on its own does not clear the mark. A citation nobody can trace does not get to look like one that can. And what it knows about you goes into the document itself: your rate priced into the total, your business name and address at the top, your logo, your accent colour, the way you word things. Not a chat that remembers you. A document that already has you in it.

FAQ
How long can I talk for?
Up to 30 minutes in a single note. There is a timer on screen while you record so you always know where you are. If you hit the limit it finishes properly and writes up everything you said, it never cuts you off mid-thought.
How is this different from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?
They are assistants. This is a document maker. You talk once, badly, and a finished thing arrives: typeset as a document rather than a chat reply, your name and contact details already on it, the totals computed, and the values it had to guess marked inside the document itself, with every date in it checked against your own words, so whoever receives it can see what to check. It downloads as a real Word file, an Excel sheet with live formulas and dropdowns, a print-ready PDF, or a link you can send. It keeps everything you have made, so the next one starts already knowing your rates, your clients and how you write.
To be fair to them: those tools are excellent, they take voice, and they can write you a document. The difference is everything around the writing. With an assistant you steer a conversation, then copy the result out, format it, check the arithmetic, add your business details, and make the file yourself. This is built for the one that does.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows, in any modern browser. One thing to know: if you open the link from a text message or inside another app, that mini-browser may block the microphone, tap its menu and choose Open in Chrome or Open in browser and everything works. Some devices show your words appearing live as you talk and some only show them when you stop. Both record exactly the same and produce the same document. While you record, the screen stays awake on its own; locking the phone yourself pauses the mic (that is the phone, not the app), everything said up to that point is kept.
What if it mishears me?
You see the transcript before anything is built, and you can edit it there. After the document exists you can also just say what to change.
What does it do with what I tell it?
Your notes and profile are stored so your documents keep getting sharper. You can read everything it has picked up about you, and delete it, in Your profile. Building a document sends your words, anything you attach and your profile to two companies that do the processing, Deepgram and Anthropic; the privacy notice names them and links to both policies. Beyond that, nothing is shown to anyone else unless you create a share link yourself.
Can I trust the facts in the document?
Not blindly, and it does not ask you to. Anything it worked out from what you said is shown with the arithmetic visible, so four hours at $45 plus $60 of supplies appears as a line you can check rather than a total you have to trust. When it decides something for you, that carries an Assumption mark in the document itself, so the person receiving it can see it too: a quote number it invented, a payment window you never stated, a currency it guessed. Plans end with a line naming what would most likely go wrong. When the answer depends on current information it looks it up and lists the sources at the bottom. What it will not do is quietly fill a gap and present the result as fact.
What can it not do?
It writes documents. It does not build websites, apps, images, video or slide decks. Ask for a website and it will write the brief a developer would need instead.
Can I leave while it's building?
Yes, and there's no time limit on your side, close the app, lock the phone, switch to something else. The build keeps running and the finished document is waiting in your notes when you come back. If you leave VNTA open in a background tab, turn on Alerts in the menu and you'll get a ping when it finishes. Close the tab and no ping will arrive, because there is no server pushing to you: come back and the document is in your notes. On iPhone, add VNTA to your home screen first (Share, then Add to Home Screen), Apple only allows alerts for installed apps.
Can I give it a document I already have?
Yes. Tap Add a file and attach a Word document, a PDF, a spreadsheet export, notes, a CSV, or plain text, then say what you want done with it: rewrite it, restructure it, bring it up to date, pull the numbers out. It reads the file and treats it as source material rather than as your instruction, so your words stay in charge. Scanned PDFs with no text inside are the one exception, and it will tell you to use Add a photo instead, which does read the page.
What can I download it as?
A Word document, an Excel sheet, a PDF, a web page, plain text, or a link you can send to anyone. The Excel file is a real spreadsheet, not a table pasted into a grid: any money column carries a live total that recalculates when you edit it, a checklist or tracker gets section headers and a status dropdown on every row, and columns are sized, frozen and filterable. A document with nothing tabular in it says so rather than handing you an empty grid. The Word file carries your letterhead, proper margins and page numbers. The PDF prints as a document rather than a screenshot of a web page.
Where do my documents go?
Every document you make is kept under Documents in the top bar. You can reopen any of them, edit them by voice, change the tone, turn one into a different kind of document, or download it again as a Word file, a PDF, a web page or plain text, and as a spreadsheet when there is a table in it. Once you have a few, a search box appears so you can find one by name or type.
Can I take a photo instead?
Yes, and you can do both at once. Add a photo of a flyer, a receipt, a handwritten list or a whiteboard, then record a note saying what you want made from it, and it uses the two together. A photo on its own works as well.
Can I use it without talking?
Yes. Type or paste anything, a call transcript, an email thread, messy notes. Or tap Add a photo to either point your camera at a receipt, whiteboard or business card, or pull in a screenshot from your gallery, and build straight from that. You can also record a voice note on top of an attached image and it uses both.
