How long can I talk for?
Up to 30 minutes in a single note. There is a timer on screen while you record so you always know where you are. If you hit the limit it finishes properly and writes up everything you said, it never cuts you off mid-thought.
How is this different from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?
They are assistants. This is a document maker. You talk once, badly, and a finished thing arrives: typeset as a document rather than a chat reply, your name and contact details already on it, the totals computed, and every value it had to guess flagged inside the document itself so whoever receives it can see what to check. It downloads as a real Word file, an Excel sheet with live formulas and dropdowns, a print-ready PDF, or a link you can send. It keeps everything you have made, so the next one starts already knowing your rates, your clients and how you write.
To be fair to them: those tools are excellent, they take voice, and they can write you a document. The difference is everything around the writing. With an assistant you steer a conversation, then copy the result out, format it, check the arithmetic, add your business details, and make the file yourself. Nobody there marks the guesses for you, because a chat reply has no reader but you. This is built for the one that does.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows, in any modern browser. One thing to know: if you open the link from a text message or inside another app, that mini-browser may block the microphone — tap its menu and choose Open in Chrome or Open in browser and everything works. Some devices show your words appearing live as you talk and some only show them when you stop. Both record exactly the same and produce the same document. While you record, the screen stays awake on its own; locking the phone yourself pauses the mic (that is the phone, not the app) — everything said up to that point is kept.
What if it mishears me?
You see the transcript before anything is built, and you can edit it there. After the document exists you can also just say what to change.
What does it do with what I tell it?
Your notes and profile are stored so your documents keep getting sharper. You can read everything it has picked up about you, and delete it, in Your profile. Nothing is shared with anyone unless you create a share link yourself.
Can I trust the facts in the document?
Not blindly, and it does not ask you to. Anything it worked out from what you said is shown with the arithmetic visible, so four hours at $45 plus $60 of supplies appears as a line you can check rather than a total you have to trust. Anything it had to decide for you carries an Assumption mark in the document itself, so the person receiving it can see it too: a quote number it invented, a payment window you never stated, a currency it guessed. Plans end with a line naming what would most likely go wrong. When the answer depends on current information it looks it up and lists the sources at the bottom. What it will not do is quietly fill a gap and present the result as fact.
What can it not do?
It writes documents. It does not build websites, apps, images, video or slide decks. Ask for a website and it will write the brief a developer would need instead.
Can I leave while it's building?
Yes, and there's no time limit on your side — close the app, lock the phone, switch to something else. The build keeps running and the finished document is waiting in your notes when you come back. Turn on Alerts in the menu and you'll get a ping the moment it's ready, so you don't have to check at all. On iPhone, add VNTA to your home screen first (Share, then Add to Home Screen) — Apple only allows alerts for installed apps.
Can I give it a document I already have?
Yes. Tap Add a file and attach a Word document, a PDF, a spreadsheet export, notes, a CSV, or plain text, then say what you want done with it: rewrite it, restructure it, bring it up to date, pull the numbers out. It reads the file and treats it as source material rather than as your instruction, so your words stay in charge. Scanned PDFs with no text inside are the one exception, and it will tell you to use Add a photo instead, which does read the page.
What can I download it as?
A Word document, an Excel sheet, a PDF, a web page, plain text, or a link you can send to anyone. The Excel file is a real spreadsheet with live formulas, section headers and status dropdowns, not a table pasted into a grid. The Word file has proper margins, a designed header and page numbers. The PDF prints as a document rather than a screenshot of a web page. All of them carry the same content, so nothing is lost by choosing one.
Where do my documents go?
Every document you make is kept under Documents in the top bar. You can reopen any of them, edit them by voice, change the tone, turn one into a different kind of document, or download it again in any format. Once you have a few, a search box appears so you can find one by name or type.
Can I take a photo instead?
Yes, and you can do both at once. Add a photo of a flyer, a receipt, a handwritten list or a whiteboard, then record a note saying what you want made from it, and it uses the two together. A photo on its own works as well.
Can I use it without talking?
Yes. Type or paste anything, a call transcript, an email thread, messy notes. Or tap Add a photo to either point your camera at a receipt, whiteboard or business card, or pull in a screenshot from your gallery, and build straight from that. You can also record a voice note on top of an attached image and it uses both.
